The follwing tour conditions apply to all the tours covered by this manual unless otherwise specified.

Included in the Tour Fare

Hotel Rooms:	Rooms with private bath on a two-in-a-room basis at the hotels specified in each itinerary. For single room occupancy by choice or circumstances, extra charges will be required as shown in the respective column in each itinerary. Triple room may be provided as a twin room with one extra bed added. Japanese style rooms with private bath are provided at ryokan (Japanese inns)
Meals:	Only the meals specified in each itinerary.
Railways:	S Type & Mono Type: Tourist-class reserved seats on Japan Railways (JR) super-express and express trains. Best available seats on JR local trains and other railways.
D Type:	First-class (Green Car) reserved seats on JR super-express and express trains; best available seats on JR local trains and other railways.
Marine Travel:	Mono-class seats on high-speed cruisers and ferry boats.
Sightseeing & Excursions:	By sedan, van, taxi, motorcoach and/or sightseeing boat on a seat-sharing basis, plus admission fees to temples, shrines, museums, etc. A minibus, sedan or taxi may be used when the total number of participants is small. Seat-sharing sightseeing tours for Japanese tourists are used for F610, F620, F530 and F730.
Transfers:	By motorcoach on a seat-sharing basis. A sedan, van or taxi may be used when the total number of participants is small.
Baggage:	The transfer and handling of one piece of normal sized baggage per person, including redcap fees, where specified in teh itinerary. However, at certain times and places this service is not included owing to limited baggage capacity on trains and/or ships and the unavailability of porters at stations, hotels and/or airports.
Guide Services:	An English-speaking guide for sightseeing and excursions will be provided. For long transfers involving Shinkansen or other trains, except in cases specified in each itinerary, a conductor or guide will not accompany the tour, but local English-speaking escort will be provided in each city as well as for pick-up and meeting services at hotels, stations, etc.
Gratuities:	Gratuities to hotel servants, porters and chauffeurs.
Tax:	The Consumption Tax 5%.
Note:	In principal, Local Agent will not make refunds for the above fare even if clients choose not to use the relevant services.

Not Included in the Tour Fare

Charges and expenses other than those specified in teh preceding article, such as:

1. Laundry, telephone or cable, additional meals and drink, and any other expenses of a personal nature.
2. International and domestic air fares not specified in the itinerary.
3. Airport departure taxes.
4. Excess baggage. Heavy baggage.

Conclusion of a Tour Contract

An Organized Tour Contract is deemed to be concluded upon receipt by local agent of the payment of the Tour Fare.

Deposit & Payment

Upon booking a minimum deposit comprising 10% of the total tour fare will be required in order to secure booking. The balance shall be paid 30 days in advance of the date on which local agent services to the clients begin.

Cancellation of Tour Contract and Tour Operation

When the requirement for the minimum number of participants has not been met, local agent may cancel the Travel Contract and operation of the tour involved.
In such a case, local agent shall notify the client of tour cancellation no later than 14th day (4th day for a one-day tour) prior to the starting date of the tour.

Cancellation of Tour Contract and Charges

The following applies to cancellations of the tour spaces:

1. F250 (Takayama & Kanazawa 4 days), F700(Tohoku 3 days), F500(Tokaido 3 days), T300(Kyushu 3 days), F730 (Walking tour of Sendai & Matsushima 2 days), F530 (Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route 4 days), S2 (Hiroshima & Kurashiki 2 days), or tours including these as components:
   
   1. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent fiftteen or more days prior to the starting date of the tour.............No charge
   2. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent fourteen days to eight days prior to the starting date of the tour...........20% of the Tour Fare
   3. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent seven days to two days prior to the starting date of the tour.............30% of the Tour Fare
   4. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent one day prior to the starting date of the tour.............40% of the Tour Fare
   5. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent prior to the starting time of the tour........50% of the Tour Fare
   6. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent after day of departure, or in case of failure to show without notice...........100% of the Tour Fare
2. Hotel Plan & Transfer Plan:
   
   1. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent eight days or more days prior to check-in date.......No charge
   2. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent seven days to two day prior to check-in date..........10% of one night's room charge or Tour Fare
   3. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent one day prior to check-in date............40% of one night's room charge or Tour Fare
   4. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent on the date of check-in date and No-show..............100% of one night's room charge
3. Others:
   1. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent eight days or more days prior to the starting date of the tour...........No charge
   2. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent seven days to two days prior to the starting date of the tour..........30% of the Tour Fare
   3. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent one day prior to the starting date of the tour......40% of the Tour Fare
   4. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent prior to the starting time of teh tour..........50% of the Tour Fare
   5. if notice of cancellation is received by local agent after day of departure, or in case of failure to show without notice............100% of the Tour Fare

Change in Services under Tour Contract

In case of natural disaster, labor disputes of transportation company or other facilities or any other causes beyond local agent's control, local agent reserves the right, with advance notice to clients, to alter part or all of the tour itinerary, tour services, or any other portions of the Organized Tour Contract in order to effect safe, smooth execution of the Organized Tour. In urgent cases, however, notice to clients may be given after the alteration.

Important Notice

1. Tour fares are quoted in Japanese yen. Actual tour fares are payable in U.S. dollar or major European currencies at the exchange rate announced at the time local agent Tokyo receives your payment.
2. All the tour description. However, in the event of any marked increase in transportation fares and fees to us or any alterations to tour itineraries caused by reasons beyond our control, we reserve the right to revise any contracted fares.
3. All the tour fares are quoted at GROSS PRICE, unless otherwise specified.

Responsibility

Organized Tour Contract

1. The terms and conditions stated herein pertain to package tours organized by local agent Corp. (herein called "local agent"), These tours may sometimes be called Organized tours, and purchases of and participation in them shall be governed by the local agent Organized Tour Contract.
2. The contents and conditions of the Organized Tour Contract are subject to the tour conditions stipulated herein, plus those stipulated in brochures and coupons to be distributed separately, as well as the General Terms and Conditions of the local agent Organized Tour Contract.

1. local agent shall assume liability for damages incurred by the client due to willful of negligent acts on the part of local agnet or its agent in charge of tour arrangements during the course of the execution of the organized Tour Contract. With respect to compensation for damages to baggage, the maximum amount shall be 150,000 Yen per person, and said compensation shall be made only when such damages are reported to local agent within fourteen days from the day following the day on which such damages occurred.
2. local agent shall not be liable for damages incurred by the client owing to the reasons listed hereinunder and those similar thereto.
   1. Natural disaster, war, disturbances, uprisings, and alteration or cancellation of the tour itinerary due to such causes.
   2. Accidents or fire related to transportation, accommodation facilities, etc., and alteration or cancellation of the tour itinerary due to such causes.
   3. Orders of either Japanese or foreign government officials, immigration regulations, isolation as the result of infectious disease, and alteration or cancellation of the tour itinerary due to such causes.
   4. Accidents occurring during participant's free activities.
   5. Food poisoning.
   6. Theft.
   7. Delays, stoppages, alterations of schedule and route in relation to transportation facilities, and alterations of the tour itinerary and shortening of staying time at destinations due to such causes.
   8. Any causes which are beyond the control of local agent and/or the agents in charge of tour arrangements.

Tour Fare for Child

One child five years of age or younger can join the tour in company of an adult, but will receive no services. In the event of more than one child, one child fare will be charged for each of the two children five years of age or younger. (F400: One child fare will be charged for each of the two children three years of age or younger.)

These Tour Conditions represent the English translation of part of the General Terms and Conditions of the local agent Organized Tour Contract as approved by Japan's Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport.
